This is a reminder: March 26, 2012 is the application DEADLINE for the position of ¡Albricias! Editor.  ¡Albricias! is the quarterly literary magazine of the SHH.  Applications need to be submitted directly to the AATSP.  Information, details and applications are available at: http://www.aatsp.org or you can call the AATSP  at: 1-248-960-2180.  You can also find the details at our New and Events Blog: http://blog.sociedadhonorariahispanica.net.

With a new year comes change, and the SHH is going through many.

SPRING CLEANING is our buzz word of the day...

--IF you have older order forms, you need to discard them as they will NOT be accepted.  Prices and other information are different on ALL our order forms (chapter application, membership, Albricias student release form for publication, National Awards - honor cords and other official SHH merchandise.), so the current 2011-2012 school year forms will be the ONLY ACCEPTED FORMS.  You can find ALL these current order forms on our web site's ALBRICIAS and ORDER /APPLY pages.

--IF you have any left-over CERTIFICATES from previous years they also need to be discarded as they are NO LONGER VALID.  Students without official SHH certificates from the year they are inducted (and registered with the SHH National Office) ARE NOT OFFICIAL MEMBERS.  Please note the SHH board changes every few years, so the President's signature changes and must match the certificate for the corresponding year the students are inducted.  Even if the signatures  have changed, previous year's certificates are still not valid.  Each year we send (10%) extra certificates with every order to accommodate printing mistakes (only certificates - not plastic covers).  Any certificates left over after printing need to be destroyed as they are not valid for additional memberships or years.

--This year we have a new web site and an new e-mail address.  Both can be found at: http://www.sociedadhonorariahispanica.net.  The web site has all the information you need to start a new chapter or maintain an existing one.  Please note when you click on a link, you will need to scroll down the page to see all the information on that page.

If you are NO LONGER the Chapter Sponsor, please let us know so we can remove you from our database and mailing lists.

We would like to remind you that the deadline for the Bertie Green Junior Travel Awards and the Joseph Adams Senior Scholarships is fast approaching. The applications must be postmarked by December 15, 2011. You will find the applications inside your “BECAS” packet mailed earlier this school year. It is also a good time to pay your AATSP dues for 2012, if you have not already done so. Remember our rule of thumb: Don't go on winter break without paying your dues (memberships expire December 31 of each year).
